About this guide
Ten plates, two languages, and a very patient whale.

Thank you, Fatal1tyV. These plates give every status code a face; without them this would be a table of numbers.
What this is
This is an unofficial fan project: an illustrated field guide to ten HTTP status codes. The definitions follow RFC 9110, RFC 6585, and RFC 2324, with links to the exact sections on every entry.
The guide covers only the ten codes illustrated here. It is a reference for readers and developers, not a replacement for the RFCs or your framework's documentation.
Sources
Every entry links to its RFC section and MDN page. If a definition here disagrees with the RFC, the RFC wins.
Privacy and technology
The site is static HTML built with Astro. Text uses the macOS and Windows system fonts, and the illustrations are served from this domain. Google Analytics 4 measures aggregate traffic; it may set cookies and sends usage data to Google. No other third-party scripts run.
